Installing StockShareV2 on Vista

Note: StockShare Publishing does not currently support StockShareV2 on Microsoft Vista, but StockShareV2 does run on Vista if the following steps are taken.

StockShare Publishing will create a Vista compatible update in the future.


1) Install StockShare
- On the final screen uncheck the "Launch StockShare" prompt

2) On the StockShareV2 icon right mouse and select "Properties"

3) Select the "Compatibility" tab - the following should be displayed, check the "Run this program as an administrator"

4) The desktop icon will now have a shield displayed on it.


5) When you try and launch StockShareV2 you will get another prompt that 'StockShareV2.exe' is trying to access your computer. Select to 'Allow' this operation.

6) Depending on your graphics card you may also get the message below stating that Vista has to change the color scheme while StockShareV2 is running.
