Biography

David C. Reif, founder of Mutual MoneyFlow Management, graduated from the U.S Naval Academy in 1963 in the top quartile of his class as an Ensign in the US Navy. He served eight years in the US Navy, including one year in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star with Combat Valor, as well as the highest medal awarded to American Advisors from the South Vietnamese Navy.

Mr. Reif began his investment career with Merrill Lynch in Tulsa, Oklahoma in late 1973. In 1976, he moved to the firm of Blythe, Eastman, Dillon Co. in Tulsa where he was one of the top twenty-five producers for the entire firm. He remained at Blythe until 1980 when he joined Shearson/American Express. Again, Mr. Reif rose to the top by being a member of the President’s club for the years 1980, 1981 and 1982. During this time he passed the Certified Financial Planner test, becoming one of the first one thousand applicants to receive the CFP designation.

From 1983 until 1993 Mr. Reif worked for firms such as Prudential Bache and Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. Inc.. In 1993, he received the Chartered Market Technician designation (CMT) from the Market Technicians Association, becoming one of the first one hundred applicants to receive this designation in the world and the first in the state of Oklahoma. In late1992, he became a consultant to Catalina Marketing Corporation, which entailed assisting them in going public and in the ongoing market related strategies utilized by senior management.

In early 1997, Mr. Reif took Mutual MoneyFlow Management out on its own. In 2001, Mr. Reif turned over the firm to his son John D. Reif with whom he has worked for 15 years and has been functioning as Chief Consultant and Investment Advisor Representative.

On December 31, 2006, Mr. Reif resigned with Mutual MoneyFlow Management and has signed on with Coachwise Solutions, another registered Investment Adisory firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There he will continue on research on his methodology and turn over his active trade managment to his new colegues.

Mr. Reif is fluent in almost every discipline of technical analysis from A waves to the Zig Zag, but favors W.D. Gann’s work more than any other discipline. His studies in this area led to the creation of the Reif Swing Chart Method of technical analysis. Mr. Reif has recently released a new video charting course, Unlocking the Profits of the New Swing Chart Method. This can be found at Trader's Library.

Mr. Reif is twice published, first in August 1993 in “Stocks and Commodities” magazine and second in the Fall 1993 issue of the Market Technicians Journal. Mr. Reif resides in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with his wife Sheila.
