Steve is the CEO of FloatCharts.com and is the world’s leading authority
on Float Charts and their analysis. By using stock indicators that he
invented, he was the first to make the famous ‘float turnover’ discoveries
of Float Analysis.
Author
Steve is the author of the ‘bible’ of Float Analysis – now newly published
by John Wiley and Sons Inc. under the new title Float Analysis, Powerful
Technical Indicators Using Price and Volume. (It was formerly titled
The Precision Profit Float Indicator.) His book has received rave reviews
from acclaimed people throughout the financial world, including master
market technician Martin Pring, and options guru Lawrence McMillan.
Steve has published articles on Float Analysis in the The Technical
Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine, as well as Traders World,
and Active Trader magazine. He is the author of the Float Analysis ‘Stock
Alert’ & Market Commentary Report.
Trader
Steve has been an active full-time trader since 1990. Early on, he was
most influenced by the writings of William O'Neil and Nicholas Darvas.
His style of trading has evolved over the years and he now considers
himself a breakout and swing trader. His trading system combines his
own Float Analysis concepts with the volume analysis methods of Master
Trader Tom O'Brien. Steve made a lot of money in the 90's and then lost
a lot in the bear market. In the last year and a half of the roaring
1990's his trading account grew 2100%. In 2003, his trading account
was up 70%. In 2004, his trading account was up 22%.
Speaker
From 2000-2005 Steve was a regular guest on Tom O'Brien's Tiger Financial
News Network. In 2004-2005 Steve had his own weekly radio show. He has
been a guest speaker at the Futures Industry Association Futures and
Options Expo, the Market Technicians Association Atlanta and Virginia
Chapters, the Washington Society of Market Technicians, the Cornerstone
Investors Club of Tampa and the TradeStation Users Group in Raleigh-Durham,
AAII Advanced Computer Users Group at Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT), and ACTIF 2008 International Conference in Montreal, Canada.

Background
Steve is a graduate of the University of Virginia. He taught elementary
education on the fifth grade level for ten years. He is a self-taught
student of Austrian economics. He is NOT a registered financial advisor.
He has simply discovered a whole new way of charting stocks and he's
sharing it with the financial community.
