USING TOOLS
Using the Visual Confluence Calculator
The Visual Confluence Calculator is referred to as "visual" since it not only displays data in a tabular format, but also plots the Confluence Zone and Fibonacci Expansion Targets on the chart.
To create a confluence calculation, right mouse click on any Candlestick chart and select "Confluence Calculator" from the Pop-up Menu. A new Visual Confluence Calculator form will appear on the chart page. In the upper left hand corner of the chart, a colored box is used to identify one Confluence Calculator from another when using multiple calculations. In this case, the box is blue. To the right of this colored box, the confluence calculator guides the user by indicating what input(s) needs to be selected. As noted in seen in the following figure, the user is ready to "Select the A1 date". As the inputs are selected, the directions will guide the user through the next steps of calculation. The check boxes to the left of A2 and C allow the user to customize the inputs. By removing the check on A2, both A1 and A2 become the same input value. Therefore, only one (1) set of potential Fibonacci Expansion Targets will be generated. Removing the check on C allows the user to not have to enter an input value. However, while the confluence can still be calculated, the target expansion values will be zero. Since expansion targets can be outside the viewable range of the chart, you can also check the box next to the expansion labels which forces all the expansions into the chart's visible range.
Note: Notice that the cursor changes to indicate that the user is selecting confluence values. The cursor will appear as follows in:

Note: In the default mode, the box for A2 is checked and the calculator will expect all three (3) inputs.

Note: This Visual Confluence Calculator can be positioned anywhere on the chart page by pressing the left mouse button and dragging the form to the desired position on the chart page.
The Visual Confluence Calculator window can be removed from view to allow chart visability. The window can be toggeled in and out of view at any time. To do this, right mouse click on the chart to access the pop up box, then glide down to the Confluence Calculator, then slide over towards the drop down arrow, then left mouse on the 'show Calc Window' to toggle on / off.

The "Unknown" label identifies if the calculation is being performed on an ABC-UP or ABC-Down calculation. There will be times when the ABC could be UP or DOWN and a Pop-up window will appear and ask for a user decision. This occurs when the A and B values are very close.

The figure above demonstrates the requirement for a user decision when the Visual Confluence Calculator recognizes that either type ABC Up or ABC Down is possible due to the A1, A2 and B values being very close. This may occur when calculating very small or short-term ABC patterns. The user must make a selection of his/her choice.
The A input values and B input value will generate the confluence area. These are indicated in the lower right hand corner of the form as well as in a colored area on the chart. The C input value will identify whether the analysis is In Confluence, Not In Confluence or Broke Confluence. The C input value will also generate Fibonacci Target Expansions. These will appear under the Retracement Ratios on the form as well as be identifiable as three (3) horizontal lines (for each A1 & A2 value) above confluence for an ABC UP and below confluence for an ABC DOWN.
The figure below shows the Visual Confluence Calculator Form as well as the actual Visual Confluence as they appear on the Candlestick chart based on the inputs that the user selected.

ABC's of Using the Visual Confluence Calculator
1. The triangular drag points allow the user to move the A1, A2, B and C input values as required. For example, if the user is tracking a certain stock, the C input value can be moved forward to see the effects from the new day's value. As another example, the A1, A2, and B input values can be adjusted when the rules of Confluence have been breached.
2. When A1 and A2 input values are plotted on the same date, it will appear as one single triangular drag point on the chart. If you catch the triangular drag point and move it, however, the second plot will be revealed. The retrace zone will be "white to blue" the date is the same.
3. If you move the B input value to a point that makes C invalid, then the C input value will disappear.
4. The plot for the B input value must be a date equal to or later than the A input values.
5. The plot for the C input value must be a date equal to, or later than, the B input value.

The figure below is presented to familiarize the user with the display of a Confluence calculation. The Confluence was chosen as an example because its display is more extensive than the Visual Fibonacci Calculator or Trendlines. User required actions are similar and objects displayed look (to the extent possible) alike in both the Visual Confluence Calculator and the Visual Fibonacci Calculator.

To remove a Visual Confluence Calculator, right mouse click on the chart and select the item you wish to remove. This is done by choosing the color box indicator that matches the analysis the user wishes to remove from the chart. Click the "X Remove" button to actually remove the analysis from the chart (or) left mouse click on the red 'X' located in the top right corner of the Visual Confluence Calculator. All reference to this calculation will be removed from the chart.
Note: The color box indicates a specific analysis. When there are multiple Confluences plotted on the chart, each one will have a different color.

Using the Fibonacci Time Study
To add the Fibonacci Time Study to a chart, right mouse click on any Candlestick or Bar chart and select the "Fibonacci Time Study" from the Pop-up Menu. The Fibonacci Time Study properties box will appear. Changes to properties are dynamically updated on the chart.

Note: The user can move the box anywhere on the screen by clicking on the blue bar at the top of the properties box and dragging it. Also, the user can click OK and the box will disappear. See below for more details about Fibonacci Time Study properties.
To begin this study, the cursor will change to a cross-hair. The cursor will appear as follows:

Move the cross-hair cursor over the first desired point and press the left mouse button. The cursor changes to a "hand with a pointing finger" and a vertical dashed line will appear. This represents the beginning point at Zero. Now, while keeping the left mouse button depressed, glide the finger cursor to the left or right. The finger cursor now represents the 100% point. A vertical dashed line will appear for each ratio that is checked off in the property box. Release the left mouse button at the desired point.
Once you release the left mouse button, the Fibonacci Time Study will appear on the chart using the user defined preferences selected in the properties box. This process may be repeated as desired on any chart.

Move - Fibonacci Time Studies can be dynamically manipulated with on screen "drag and release" or modification of the property box. This section will describe the "drag and release" process. Further on in this section we will discuss the property box.
• Move the Zero point – You can do this by placing your cursor over the Zero point "drag block". The cursor will change to a small horizontal line with a double arrow head. Left mouse click on the block and drag it to the desired place and release. This will only function moving left or right.
§ Note: The Zero point "drag block" is always located on the vertical tick line which is at one of the ends next to an alpha label.
• Move the 100% point – You can do this by placing your cursor over the 100% point "drag block". The cursor will change to a small horizontal line with a double arrow head. Left mouse click on the block and drag it to the desired place and release. This will only function moving left or right.

USING Fibonacci ARC Line Studies
The arcs are drawn, centered on the second extreme point, so they intersect the trendline at the Fibonacci levels specified. The interpretation of Fibonacci Arcs involves anticipating support and resistance as prices approach the arcs. A common technique is to display both Fibonacci Arcs and Fibonacci Fan Lines and to anticipate support/resistance at the points where the Fibonacci studies cross.
Note that the points where the Arcs cross the price data will vary depending on the scaling of the chart, because the Arcs are drawn so that they are circular relative to the computer screen.
To use the Fibonacci Arc line function, right mouse click on any price chart or indicator and the Pop-up Menu will appear. Then glide down to "Tool plugins" then go over and select Fibonacci Arc. A cross-hair cursor will appear on the chart page. You can move this anywhere on the screen. Fibonacci Arcs are displayed by first drawing a trendline between two extreme points, for example, a trough and opposing peak. Begin your trend line with a Left mouse click and then drag and release at the desired end location.
Move a Fibonacci Arc Fibonacci arcs can be moved anywhere on the chart. Place cursor on any Icon Drag Block – then left mouse click and drag and drop to the new location.
The figure below demonstrates a chart with a Fibonacci Arc. The default ratios are 38%.2, 50% and 61.8%. StockShareV2 allows the user to define up to ten (10) ratios.

USING Fibonacci FAN Line Studies
A charting technique consisting of three diagonal lines that use Fibonacci ratios to help identify key levels of support and resistance.
Fibonacci fans are created by first drawing a trendline through two points (usually the high and low in a given period), and then by dividing the vertical distance between the two points by the key Fibonacci ratios of 38.2%, 50% and 61.8%. The result of these divisions each represent a point within the vertical distance. The three 'fan' lines are then created by drawing a line from the leftmost point to each of the three representing a Fibonacci ratio.
To use the Fibonacci Fan line function, right mouse click on any price chart or indicator and the Pop-up Menu will appear. Then glide down to "Tool plugins" then go over and select Fibonacci Fan. A cross-hair cursor will appear on the chart page. You can move this anywhere on the screen.
