The StockShareV2 Visual Confluence Calculator is referred to as visual since the outputs, in addition to being displayed in tabular format on the chart, are also plotted on the chart. This feature greatly enhances the use of Confluence as a tool for analysis. StockShareV2 is the first and only stock analysis software with this feature. (Using Visual Confluence Calculator)
The StockShareV2 Fibonacci Calculator displays tabular data and plots this data on the selected chart. The user can define up to ten (10) Fibonacci Retracement Values. In addition to displaying the retracement values, the calculator will also display the Gain/Loss, percentage difference between the two (2) days selected, and the high and low values. The StockShareV2 ABC Expansion Tool is very flexible allowing for plotting of both 'Retracement and Expansion' lines based on the user selecting two (2), three (3), or four (4) data points. The user can define up to two (2) 'Retracement Ratio Values' and up to five (5) 'Expansion Ratio Values'. (See ABC Expansion Tool) * In this document, 'Contraction / Expansion' are synonymous with Fibonacci Retracement and Extensions.
The StockShareV2 Fibonacci Time Study plots common Fibonacci ratios in the time/date axis. The user can define up to ten (10) Fibonacci ratios.

Confidence in trading comes from experience and expertise. To this end, StockShareV2 incorporates a Back Testing feature. A date may be selected which stops the display (at that date) so the user can view the analytical tools without benefit (influence) of seeing what developed later. Based on what is seen, the user can then step ahead one day at a time (or faster if preferred) and see if any decisions yielded the expected results.
Recognizing the variety of Internet access speeds available to users, a Time Frame feature is included in StockShareV2. This feature limits the quantity of historical data collected from the Internet for analysis. The settings available are 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 20 years retroactive from the current date. Note: StockShareV2's default is set to 2 years.
This feature allows the user to display Tabs with the same time frame so that during stock analysis, when switching to different Tabs, the user is in the same time frame on all chart pages. The cursor on all Tabs will adjust to the last date selected by the user.
This feature allows the user to Fix a symbol or index on a chart page so that comparison can be made between the chosen index/symbol and the stock symbol undergoing analysis. This allows the user to mix the plots of both the currently selected symbol and a fixed index (i.e., NASDAQ, S&P500 or DOW) on the same tab.
StockShareV2 uses free data feeds from Yahoo, Brite Futures and MSN. The user can switch between feeds at-will. StockShare Publishing LLC has no control over any of these data bases. Note: Symbols may vary from one feed to the next. Also, some symbols may not be available on these feeds.
StockShareV2 now has easy-to-use built-in ASCII data manager. If you have a way to export 'PRICE and Volume' information in ASCII format from your data vendor, broker or internet; then you will be able to import this file into StockShareV2. We will show an example how to do this in section ASCII import Data feeds.
Experimental Camera / Chart Library StockShareV2 now has an easy-to-use built-in Experimental camera. This gives you the ability to temporarily save your chart images on StockShare Publishing web site in a chart library. You can share the chart link with your friends and colleagues by posting it in an e-mail or chat group for instantaneous access to view your work. The charts reside on our site for about 90 days.
StockShareV2 now has easy-to-use built-in Metastock Data feed Manager. If you have a way to export 'PRICE and Volume' information in Metastock format from your data vendor, broker or internet; then you will be able to import this file into StockShareV2. We will show an example how to do this in section Metastock Data feed Manager.
StockShareV2's versatile program design allows a wide range of integration opportunities. Plug-ins are additional programs, such as tools, overlays or indicators which are developed by StockShare Publishing LLC which are compatible StockSharev2. Some of the Plug-ins will be provided as "no cost free enhancements" to StockShareV2 customers at no additional cost, while other Plug-ins, called "Premium Plug-ins", may be purchased by the customer from StockShare Publishing LLC. The additional cost of the "Premium Plug-ins" is to defray the cost of extensive development, programming and testing.
The first in the series of "Premium Plug-ins" is Woods – Float Analysis. Steve Woods is the only method that focuses on looking for changes in a stock's ownership by tracking the "turnover" of the shares actually available for trading (i.e. the float). His is the only method that treats price, volume and the floating supply of shares as holistically related. Instructions to use the "Woods – Float Analysis Plug-in" are included in this document. Steve Woods is the founder of the concept of Float Analysis, which is further detailed in his immensely popular book that was originally titled, The Precision Profit Float Indicator. The book has now been re-published as a Wiley Trading book by John Wiley &Sons, Inc.. It has been re-titled Float Analysis, Powerful Technical Indicators Using Price and Volume. This give the user the option to manage float value data for the symbols they are interested in. Some users prefer to get float values from a their third party data provider in lieu of the free data feeds provided by StockShareV2. The user can 'Add', 'Update', 'Remove' or 'Save' any float value with just a few mouse clicks and key stokes. The symbols and float values in this table are saved and stored on the user's local hard drive. The user can also select the order option in which this table is to be used.. Note: This feature is only available with the Woods Float Plug-in.
Watch List Manager / Stock Slide Show StockShareV2's uses Symbols, Groups and Group Symbols in its Watch List Manager. In addition, the use of a check mark to "Tag" symbols is very convenient in filtering out symbols for further analysis. The use of the "Watch List Slide Show" is a quick and effective way for the user to review all symbols in your watch list in short order.
StockShareV2 allows the user to conveniently use Price Labels, Text Labels, Trend Lines and Text Annotations to any chart to help the analysis process. |
